These terms and conditions govern all bookings made with us via our website or arranged by third parties. Completion of a booking implies acceptance and understanding of the terms and conditions listed below.
We highly recommend that your own suitable travel insurance is in place at the time of booking.
General
All rates we quote are subject to availability and alteration. All special offers quoted are limited and subject to availability, and may be subject to a minimum stay.
While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of all information, the Handel’s Hotel cannot accept liability for any errors or omissions and we reserve the right to change information and description of the hotel and products and to amend manifest error in the quoted or booked rates.
Check in
Check in time is from 15:00
Check out time is at 12:00
We wish to advise that a valid credit card will be required on check in for all bookings, including prepaid bookings. A pre-authorisation of your card will be taken upon arrival for incidentals. The credit card must be in the guest’s own name and a corresponding photo ID might be required. In the event that the pre-authorisation is unsuccessful the booking shall be rendered null & void.
Cancellations & No Shows
Standard Purchase – Our cancellation policy is 48h (14:59 hotel’s local time) prior to the date of arrival. In the event of late cancellation or no-show, your credit card will be charged for fee equal to the first night, to compensate the hotel for its loss of earnings.
You do not need to pay in advance. However, credit card is required in order to make a booking. To check the validity of your card and to guarantee your booking, the property reserves the right to temporarily hold the amount due for the 1st night stay prior to arrival. Should the card decline, they also reserve the right to advise of this accordingly and request cancellation of the booking within the cancellation policy.
Advance Purchase – Your card will be charged in full at the time of booking. All payments taken are non-refundable & non-transferable. A no show, cancellation or change will result in forfeit of the amount charged.
Should your payment not process at the time of booking, the hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking at any time.
Children
All children under 12 years old stay free of charge when using existing beds. There is no capacity for an extra bed in the room.
Cots are available on request but cannot be guaranteed.
Special Instruction
Any special instructions you have submitted with your booking should relate to your reservation and are likely to be addressed on the day of your arrival. If you have any more pressing requests, we would suggest you contact the hotel directly by email or phone.
Promotions and Offers
All promotional offers are subject to specific terms, conditions and restrictions listed on the specific webpage. All promotional offers are subject to availability.
Group Bookings

Eligibility of Use

Non-Smoking
Handel’s Hotel is strictly non-smoking property. The hotel respectfully requests that guests do not smoke in the rooms and public areas and instead use the dedicated outdoor smoking area.
Anyone found to be smoking or having smoked in a room will be subject to a deep-cleaning fee of €100. This penalty will be applied to the credit card provided at the time of check in. Management reserve the right to charge the credit card without notification if guests are found to be in breach of this policy.
Misconduct and Damage of Property
In the event of guest’s behavior being unacceptable to Handel’s Hotel, the Management reserves the right to insist on the offending individual(s) immediate departure.
The guest, or whoever is the guarantor for the room, is responsible for damage to property resulting from negligent or irresponsible behavior and any inconvenience caused to other guests. Handel’s Hotel reserves the right to make a charge to the guest credit card without notification.
Pricing Errors
The company and Handel’s Hotel reserve the right to cancel contracts based upon incorrect information having been displayed in relation to price or service.
Site Use

Apart from printing information in connection with your travel, you are not allowed to reproduce, replicate, sell, resell or otherwise exploit these websites unless we provide you with prior written permission to do so.

If, for reasons beyond the hotel’s reasonable control, including, but not limited to, strikes, labor disputes, acts, regulations or orders of governmental authorities, civil disorder, disaster, acts of war, acts of God, fires, flood or other emergency conditions, or due to any delay in necessary and essential repairs of the hotel, the hotel is unable to perform its obligations under this agreement, the non-performance is excused and the hotel may terminate the original agreement without further liability or compensation of any nature. In no event shall the hotel be liable for consequential damages of any nature, for any reason whatsoever.
Jurisdiction
This contract is governed by the laws of Ireland.
